What is the adoption process?

Faith Canine Rescue adoption process differs from conventional adoption process.  We urge all adopters to reach out to local shelters prior to applying at Faith. Since all dogs fly from Korea to the U.S. to meet the designated family, there is no "meet and greet" step in the process.  So please consider Faith Canine Rescue as your final resort for pet adoption. The entire process will take approximately 60 days depending on availability of flight volunteers. During this period, pets will be vaccinated with Rabies, DHLPP, Kennel Cough, Canine Coronavirus, and Canine Influenza which are required by USDA, CDC and AWA.

Please make sure to understand your responsibilities as the adopter throughout the adoption process as outlined below prior to making the decision to adopt a canine from Faith:

  1. Submission of adoption application. Faith Canine Rescue will contact the applicant once the application has been reviewed which usually takes 10 business days.

  2. Interview with all household members.

  3. Home check.

  4. Adoption agreement and payment of adoption fee once the adopted pet is assigned to a flight volunteer

  5. Arrival and pick up at U.S. airport

  6. Periodic check in with Faith to share dog's adjustment to new home
